With Cozad being 1:1 with iPads, there are a variety of different tools and resources we use with the iPads to improve, differentiate, and increase student learning and success.
Actively Learn is a tool we use for reading. It allows me to see how long students have been reading, leave immediate feedback about questions answered, and also allows for differentiated instruction (different level reading levels).
Noredink.com is a website designed to show mastery of grammar concepts. Students have to answer so many questions correctly in a row before they are allowed to move on to the next concept. This ensures students have mastered various grammar content in class.
Turnitin.com is a plagiarism detection website. Not only does it detect plagiarism, but it automatically provides computer generated feedback. Note: as these are essays, computer feedback can be incorrect at times. The immediate feedback is generally accurate, however, there are times it makes mistakes and I go in later to add more specific feedback, and correct automated feedback that is inaccurate.
Adobe tools are used for projects. Adobe Spark Page allows students to create a presentation similar to a keynote presentation, but with more design features. Adobe Spark Post allows students to make infographics using images and texts to demonstrate learning.
